12×30 Challenge: April Week 3

Monday and Tuesday were my rest days this week. Monday was the Orioles baseball game so I went straight there after work and Tuesday it poured cats and dogs so I REFUSED to do more than my walk home in the rain. We were under warnings, the wind and rain were coming in sideways and there was not a soul walking around the Inner Harbor. It was eery. I posted a photo on my Instagram and someone asked why I made it black and white…I didn’t my friends. I posted the photo with no filter whatsoever. That’s how scary it was!

Wednesday I walked for about an hour and had no motivation to give it 100%. On Thursday Steve and I had to run an errand after work but found ourselves double knotting our sneakers at 6:30 to make sure we got a good run in before the sun set. I was so appreciative of him for running with me and motivating me.

Friday-Sunday I was in Delaware to celebrate my birthday early with my parents. We tried to keep our meals healthy but we also enjoyed the weekend together and let go a little ;). My Mom and I did walk 3 miles on Saturday and I went for a run on Sunday to try and burn off some of the deliciousness I consumed over the weekend.

I slacked off this week. That’s the honest truth. I want to kick it into high gear this week and really make some progress. There’s only one full week of April left and although I will continue this into the rest of the year, I really want to meet my goal of walk/jogging every day in April.

It’s really hard to reach your goal when the weather is a factor. If there is even the slightest chance that I can get out of working out, my mindset changes.. It sounds like you did your best, even if you feel like it wasn’t your greatest week. Hope you had fun visiting family this weekend!
