I love April

April and October have always been my favorite months. They always seem to be the busiest which might be why I love them so much, but they each have specific reasons.

April is my birthday month. It’s the month when we celebrate the earth and there are a ton of outdoor events. It’s also the beginning of Spring which means a lot of rain, but it also means warmer temperatures and my favorite flowers, tulips!

I have a list of all the fun things I have going on this month so get ready because I forsee a decent amount of recap posts over the next few weeks!

  1. Cherry Blossom season! Steve and I went over the weekend to see them for the first time this season. It never gets old, I promise you that! There will be a post tomorrow about the perfect pink flowers.
  2. A visit from my parents! Since my birthday is this month I always try to get together with my parents and spend some time with them. We don’t see each other often so a day of playing tourist was just what I needed.
  3. 25th Birthday! I turn 25 on April 22nd which is also Earth Day and I’m pretty excited about it. Not only will this be a milestone birthday for me but I get off work early so Steve and I are going to celebrate that evening.
  4. Yelp & UMB Events! With both of my jobs I haven’t had the opportunity to plan an even all on my own yet. On April 21st I am hosting my first Yelp event which is a 1960’s Mad Men theme and I can’t wait to show you all how it turns out! On April 22nd I am hosting an Earth Day event at UMB which should be a lot of fun and very educational for everyone who attends!
  5. Wedding season! I love weddings, especially weddings of good friends. One of Steve’s best friends is getting married this month at a vineyard so I’m pretty pumped. The happy couple are also two of the most fun people I know so it should be a good time with all of our friends.
