What is your favorite Christmas tradition? My favorite holiday tradition is our annual Yankee Swap and Christmas Sing a Long held at my parents house. Our family is getting bigger with significant others and it’s getting harder and harder to have everyone together on Christmas day. We all make time a few days prior to the holiday to get together, laugh over Yankee swap gifts and sing Christmas songs together. This year Chris is coming and I’m looking forward to it.

Where do you spend Christmas? I have spent Christmas at the house that I grew up in every single year of my life (with the exception of one or two when we went to visit my brother). It’s never feels the same unless we are in Delaware.

What is your favorite Christmas song? Alvin and the Chipmunks- Christmas Don’t Be Late…hahaha

Do you decorate before or after Thanksgiving? Nope. I am always thinking and planning for Christmas prior to Thanksgiving but I let Thanksgiving have its glory and don’t decorate until the day after.

Tinsel or garland? Garland! I never had a real tree growing up and there is no way we were picking tinsel off of a fake tree each year. Someday I’ll have a real tree and douse it in tinsel but for now, garland is just fine.

Who are you most excited to see this Christmas season? EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY! We are all spread out and it’s a rare occasion to have everyone together in one place. While we still won’t get to see everyone on the same day, I’ll get to visit with my family members over the five days I plan to be home. I have some big hugs stored up to dish out.

Do you own an ugly Christmas sweater? Actually, no! I have a candy cane striped turtleneck that I usually wear to holiday festivities and a skirt that I hot glued bows to a few years ago. Paired with leggings and some tall Christmas socks I’m usually set for any event thrown my way.

What is one Christmas food you cannot live without? Mashed potatoes and roast beef! YUM!

Peppermint or gingerbread? Peppermint all the way.

Have you ever tried a fruit cake? Nope and I can’t say that I’m dying to.

What is one thing you asked for this Christmas? I asked for a new digital camera. I’m trying to up my blogging game and I’ve fallen back in love with photography. There are so many great things happening in 2016 and I want to make sure I’m capturing all of them!

If you could be any Christmas movie character, who would you be? Judy Haynes from White Christmas, hands down. She gets to wear the prettiest dresses and does the best dance numbers in the movie. She also doesn’t have the romantic drama that Betty experiences.

Are you ready for Christmas yet?

Ooooh good choice for a Christmas character–that red velvet dress is EVERYTHING! And now the “I just want a huuuuuula hoooop!” line from the Chipmunks song is in my head 😉
