SOTD Eats: Papermoon Diner

Over the weekend my parents came to Baltimore for the day to celebrate my birthday a little early (I’m turning 26 on Friday!).  When they come to town we always grab a meal together and I try to introduce them to one of my favorites. This time was different because we were all trying a new restaurant together! Chris recommended Papermoon Diner and since it’s been on my list for ages I decided it was time to give it a whirl.

Papermoon wasn’t hard to spot- the bright colored building and statues outside were quite attention grabbing! We pulled up and quickly found free street parking although they have a lot for diners to park in as well. The restaurant was packed so we had about a 20 minute wait, but luckily there was plenty to look at and we had a lot of catching up to do.

I walked around the building looking at their extensive Pez collection, the flower beds planted in sinks and bath tubs, and the attention to detail on the mannequins was unreal.

Once we got inside I was blown away. The restaurant had even more to see inside! I didn’t take photos because I was too busy enjoying the time with my parents but trust me when I say that there was a lot to look at!

We ordered and the food came out quickly. I was happy with my selection of two eggs, bacon, home fries and toast. The multigrain was amazing. I felt crazy going on and on about how delicious the bread was, but oh my word was it tasty. My parents ordered pancakes and the brioche French toast. They both had great things to say about their meals as well.

I couldn’t help thinking that Papermoon would be a great place to go on a first date! There are so many things to look at and talk about, you won’t have to worry about awkward silences!

Papermoon Diner is located at 227 W 29th St, Baltimore, MD 21211

I love the Paper Moon Dinner! I have actually never been there for a meal though, just drinks! I did go for a first date once but the wait was over 2 hours, so we opted to go elsewhere. That would have been a long two hours of awkward haha
