Strawberry Oatmeal Smoothie

Thank you all for your kind words yesterday. It’s been a rough couple of days, but I’m determined to stay positive and one way I plan to keep up my spirits is by making delicious (and soft) meals for myself! Just because my mouth is on strike doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy what I’m eating…right?!

Introducing my newest obsession in the kitchen…. Oatmeal smoothies!

I love having fruit smoothies in the morning for breakfast, especially when it’s warm out, but I always find myself starving after an hour or two. I decided to take my favorite smoothie recipe and add oats to see if it made a difference. This smoothie recipe was soooo incredibly filling and absolutely delicious! I will admit that the texture threw me off a little but I added a more milk to make it runnier. 

Feel free to tweak the recipe however you see fit, that’s the beauty of a smoothie! You can add more strawberries, only use half of a banana, take out the coconut, add flax- the options are endless! I’ve also tried adding oats to my favorite peanut butter, chocolate, banana smoothie recipe and it was mind blowing!
