Loving Lately- Beauty Edition

I am an apprehensive beauty product purchaser. I don’t know much about the makeup world and didn’t know the difference between BB Cream and CC Cream until I looked it up last week….

So instead, I do a lot of research and get second opinions on most products before I pull the trigger. There is nothing worse than buying an eleven dollar liquid foundation only to realize that it’s AWFUL. The real kick in the gut is googling said product and reading multiple beauty blogs advising against the product. Cool.

With all of that said, when I do find a product that I love, I REALLY love it and want to share it with everyone so they can hopefully avoid the crappy products as well.

Here’s what I’m loving lately:

I was sent a small travel size of the Pantene Pro-V Airspray through Influenster. I immediately fell in love with the hair spray. It is their first alcohol free hairspray, holds well but leaves my hair feeling brushable and soft while still keeping fly aways down. Also, it smells so good! I blew through the small trial size quickly and purchased the 7oz bottle so I’m set for a while.

I used to be really into lipstick a few years ago and still enjoy it but I struggle with finding shades that I enjoy. I purchased the Burt’s Bees lipstick a few months ago on a whim because I love their products and thought why not? I have their Fuchsia Flood shade and although its super pink I love it. Its super fun to wear with the warmer weather we’ve had and it goes on super creamy. The Burt’s Bees lipstick is moisturizing and doesn’t stain my lips which is huge for me. I’ve worn this shade with a little black dress and a bright floral dress. It literally goes with everything.

I have had a skinny barrel wand for about two years now and love using it for my tight curls, but lately I’ve wanted loose casual waves to wear to work or on a casual Saturday. It’s impossible to create that look with a skinny wand so I bought the Remington Curling Wand for less than $30 on Amazon. Although my hair doesn’t hold the curl for very long, it stays wavy and meets my request for waves.

The Say Yes To products have been out in Target for quite some time now but I’ve never mentioned them on the blog. I swear by the Say Yes to Cucumbers face wipes. They are gentle on my sensitive skin, get off the most stubborn makeup and leave my face feeling clean and refreshed. I especially love traveling with them.

I am a huge fan of dry shampoo but have been looking for one that actually did it’s job and added a little grit and hold to my hair. Living Proof’s did just that and then some. I’m obsessed! It doesn’t hurt that they also make my favorite humidity shield finishing spray which comes in handy during the summer heat! I don’t really love the way the humidity shield spray smells but it serves the purpose better than anything else on the market.

Have you tried any of the products I’ve mentioned? What are you loving lately?

I’m going to buy all of these! I have tried countless dry shampoos and nothing works as well as I would like and I have to reapply every few hours, which basically means I am spending $7 for not washing my hair. I need to get the Yes to Cucumbers wipes! I ran out of makeup wipes a few days ago and I haven’t bought another pack because I wanted to try something besides the Target brand, these are going into my cart. Thank you! I love posts like this!

These are amazing!!! I especially want to try the Air spray and the Burt’s Bees lipstick! I definitely will need some hairspray for several wedding events coming up, and I can’t even remember the last time I bought lipstick lol!
