Fall Bucket List Recap

fall

Now that Thanksgiving is over I feel like it’s time to full immerse myself in Christmas and winter preparation! Chris and I are decorating the house for the season this weekend and hopefully getting a Christmas tree too! With all the thoughts of wrapping paper and hot chocolate and gingerbread men and stockings I realized I never did a wrap up on my Fall Bucket List! I’m unveiling my winter bucket list next week soooooo I should probably recap Fall right? Whoops!

GO PUMPKIN PICKING

October was insanely busy for me with work events but Chris made sure to steal me away to visit the same farm we visited on one of our first couple of dates. We had apple cider donuts, apple cider slush and picked out some treats to take home.

EAT MAMA C’S PUMPKIN DIP

Check! I don’t have a photo because, well, it was gone within two days of its arrival to the city.

DRESS UP FOR HALLOWEEN

We celebrated Halloween 2016 on the same day that we moved into the new house. We went for no fuss costumes and even though I was sweating to death by the end of the night, I loved our costumes.

EAT AN APPLE CIDER DONUT

I’ve eaten my fair share of apple cider donuts this season and am looking forward to all things peppermint and gingerbread over the next few months!

MAKE TWO DISHES FOR THANKSGIVING

My parents and I spent Thanksgiving at Chris’ childhood home with his family and it was so great. I made dairy free mashed potatoes and succotash- we had to bring some classic country dishes to the city Thanksgiving!

GO ON A FALL FOLIAGE DRIVE JUST TO CHECK OUT THE LEAVES

So maybe not a drive, but I went for a few walks to enjoy the foliage as it changed colors throughout the season. There is a tree across the street from our house that was stunning with deep, deep red leaves. I loved looking at it out the window from our living room.

BAKE HALLOWEEN TREATS

I love baking holiday treats and these donuts were super fun!

You killed this fall list!! I love that your families celebrated Thanksgiving together. I have been trying to get our families to do the same for the last few years but it hasn’t happened yet.

Girl, sounds like the best fall ever! I love that you and Chris were PB&J. I love people who have funny/creative costumes, instead of just using Halloween as another reason to dress trashy…so GOOD JOB, PEOPLE! I still cannot get over those donuts you made…they looked so incredible!
