Shamrock Shindig

My first large event of the season was on Sunday. Holy cow. It feels like I just started booking vendors in January and already the event is over!

Shamrock Shindig is an annual St.Patrick’s Day celebration for the whole family. There’s a live band, Irish Dancers, face painting, a cash bar, crafts for the kids, balloon artists, food trucks and the Baltimore City St.Patrick’s Day Parade starts right as the event ends. We give the kids bags of parade gear so they can watch the parade in style! It’s so cute to see them decked out in their gear.

In previous years we’ve had warm temperatures, rain, cold winds, and sunshine but never temperatures like what we experienced on Sunday. It was 31 DEGREES when the event kicked off and even colder in the morning as we finished set-up. The attendance definitely reflected how cold it was outside but I was happy with the amount of folks who braved the frigid air and came to celebrate with us. Including eight of my friends! I was floored when I looked up and saw so many familiar faces! Getting a squeeze from the people I care so much about is just the icing on the cake for a great day!

Check out the awesome photos taken by Ian Johnston Photography from the event!

It looked like such a great event, even though it was so chilly! I wanted to attend so bad, we actually thought about buying tickets to fly home on Saturday but felt bad leaving family. NEXT YEAR!!!

It was SUCH A GREAT EVENT. We have been talking about it all week– how it was seriously the most fun we’ve had in a long time. The whole event was so fun and we made some serious memories. It was SO fun to see you do what you do, girl. And it helps that you’re so dang good at it!
