Week 26: BBQ Chicken

bbq chicken

Happy Friday friends! Today is the EASIEST crockpot recipe I’ll share during the 52 week challenge. With only three ingredients this recipe is perfect for someone who doesn’t want a ton of prep time. I also make this when I’m trying to clean out my fridge and use up ingredients.

With hot days and BBQ’s upon us, crockpot bbq chicken is an easy alternative to using the stove to make a dish to feed your friends and family!

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds of boneless chicken breast
  • Two bottles of bbq sauce
  • 1 yellow onion, minced

Steps:

  1. Place raw or frozen chicken in the bottom of the crockpot
  2. Cover all of the chicken with bbq sauce
  3. Add in the minced onion pieces
  4. Cook on low for eight hours
  5. Remove chicken from the crockpot and shred
  6. Add back to the crock pot for 15 minutes to soak up juices
  7. Remove and enjoy!
