Ice Ice Baby

On Friday night over 500 people went to Harbor Point along Baltimore’s Waterfront for a FREE ice festival. It was the first ice festival in Baltimore City for many years and the newness of it was exciting. Sparkly stilt walkers wandered through the crowd, hot apple cider warmed hands and tummies, crafts and facepainting kept the kids happy, interactive ice sculptures produced smiles on faces and live carvers blew everyone away with with their talent. To say I’m happy with how the night went would be an understatement.

This event was three years in the making. The idea was there but we needed a location and then once we had that, the funds and time to properly plan and execute. I’m so happy with how the event went and although there were plenty of hiccups and bumps in the road, it as a first and now I know for next year what worked and didn’t work.

Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed a warmer than average night along Baltimore’s Waterfront with us! You can find photos and video on the highlight reel of @waterfrontpartnership
