DIY Superbowl Table Decor

Superbowl Sunday is this weekend! It’s hard to believe that the football season is almost over- I feel like it just started. Then again, I also feel like baseball season just ended and I know Chris thinks it can’t start soon enough!

I was never a big football fan even though my Mom is a die-hard fan and used to tell us not to bother her on Sunday while she was watching the game unless the house was on fire or we were bleeding. Just a sneak peek at what it was like having nurses as parents..

But I remember we hosted a few Superbowl parties and I was bribed to be there with a stack of new US Weekly and People magazines. I even dated a high school football player, but I had no idea what was happening on the field while I was watching.

Now I understand what’s happening (for the most part) and enjoy watching the sport because of the people I watch it with. Last year we hosted a Superbowl watching party and we are doing it again this year! I love having all my favorite people in my home, with yummy foods and drinks to watch the game together. While I’m not really happy with either team playing this year I’m always going to root for whichever team is #notthepatriots.

SO- on Sunday we will have 10 of our closest friends and quite the array of snacks to nibble on while watching the game! I made a football field table runner to jazz up my food station and I’m kind of in love with it.

This is literally the easiest DIY I’ve ever made. I just purchased a long piece of green felt and cut it to the length of my table, used white duct tape to make the lines and then used white number stickers to mark the yards.

If you’re hosting a Superbowl Party you HAVE to make this table runner and wow your friends. It’ll be your little secret about how EASY it was to make!

I am a huge football fan so I love the Super Bowl. Your party sounds like so much fun! We don’t have many big plans this year, just kind of low key (which I’m also a little excited for to be honest!). Also cheering for #notthepatriots! LOL
